EMT / FIREFIGHTER
The Baltimore City Fire Department seeks confident, energetic and
compassionate individuals for the position of EMT / Firefighter.

EMT /Firefighter is an opportunity for an exciting, challenging, and rewarding
career. Below is a list of the requirements and benefits for this great position.

 Complete and pass the following pre-employment & selection process:
1. Completed Application
2. EMT Firefighter Multiple-Choice Test
3. Structured Interview
4. Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)
5. Criminal Background Investigation (CBI)
6. Medical Exam and Drug Test

EMT / Firefighter applications must be submitted by the applicant IN PERSON at
the War Memorial Building located at 101 Gay Street, Baltimore, Maryland from
June 8 thru 19, 2009. Hours are Monday thru Thursday from 9a.m to 7p.m. and
on Friday and Saturday from 9a.m. to 3p.m. If you have any questions, please

There is also an application fee depending on residency. Please note the following:
• Baltimore City Residents - $10
• Non-Baltimore City Residents - $30

Rescue & Steadman Members Go Red

Members of Rescue 1 and Steadman Station show their support for our Troops on Veterans Day by purchasing and wearing a specially designed red shirt. The red shirt sale was held throughout the BCFD and a portion of the proceeds will benefit a military organization

Memebers Complete SCT Course 10/18/08

Congratulations to the 11 members of Rescue Co.1 and fellow members of the BCFD for successful completion of Structural Collapse Technician Course.


The intense 8 day course was at held at the Virginia Beach Fire Dept. Training Academy and was sponsored by the Virginia Beach Fire Dept., VA-TF2, and Spec Rescue International.


The SCT School is well known as one of the best and most challenging SCT courses in the country, and brings top instructors from around the country.
